Description
Methods of polymer and coating surface analysis and characterization, including optical and scanning electron microscopy, contact angle and related wettability methods, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, ion-scattering spectroscopy, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, electrical potential and electrokinetic techniques, methods for the measurement of thin-film thickness, characterization of optical properties of thin organic films, total internal reflection, infrared and Raman spectroscopy. Lab included. Two lectures + one lab session per week.
