Description
The gymnast begins preparation for routines on the floor; exercise, walkovers, and round-off combinations are stressed. Handstands, cartwheels, mounts, and dismounts are taught on the beam. On bars, upper-body strength is sufficiently developed so that combinations of three or more skills can be linked together such as glide hip, front hip, squat on. We will begin handspring vault drills. Participants must follow specific safety guidelines to participate in this course.
