GNDR 4183 - Sex and Gender: Biosocial Perspectives

Meets with ANTHR 6183. Why are females feminine, males masculine, and occasionally vice versa? Addresses the study of sex and gender differences from a biosocial perspective, with particular emphasis placed on the ways in which biological and cultural factors interact. Considers evolutionary, developmental, and socio-economic perspectives. Cross-cultural differences and similarities are emphasized.
