Description
This is a course designed to explore the basic elements of public budgeting and teach how to successfully budget in today's environment. The course will cover the unique aspects of public budgeting, including such topics as how to construct a budget; how to effectively present it; how to 'sell' it to decision makers; how it is analyzed; and how legislative bodies operate the budget process. Participants will have an opportunity to develop and defend a budget during the course. There will also be ample time allocated to discuss the current budget environment in Utah.
