Description
Fundamental principles of ceramic processing from powders: powder characterization, greenbody forming techniques, sintering desification, grain growth, and phase transformation; sol-gel processing of advanced ceramics and composites; physical and chemical deposition techniques for advanced ceramic thin films. Designed to provide a general overview of advanced processing techniques for ceramics of wide-ranging shapes, forms, and applications. Laboratory experiments demonstrate the capabilities of the processing techniques.
