Description
Provides a theoretical and practical examination of issues in higher education financial management with an emphasis on budgeting, financial planning, and financial management. Provides overview of revenue sources: federal and state allocation, tuitions, fees, and donations. Provides an introduction to development through fundraising. Examination of key economic and financial issues facing institutions of higher education as they respond to changing needs of a global, information-based society. Objectives for the course include learning how administrators can use principles of budgeting and finance to become effective managers of change.
