Description
An introduction to the fields of foundation engineering and geoenvironmental engineering. Topics include shear strength of cohesive and unsaturated soils, seepage forces, filters, lateral earth pressures and retaining walls, slope stability, shallow foundations, clay-water electrolyte systems, waste containment technology, compacted clay liners, geosynthetics for waste containment applications, and an introduction to in-situ treatment of contaminated soils and ground water.
