Description
Take an artistic voyage and discover astonishing art and famous artists through out the centuries. Learn elements of design and color theory while using a variety of mediums. Create memorable masterpieces while discovering the fundamentals of color, design, and composition through painting and drawing. Explore a variety of techniques using charcoal, watercolor, acrylic paint, graphite, prismacolor pencils, pastels, and silver and black scratchboard. Complete projects that help you draw what you see and explore your imagination. Discover sculpture while assembly amazing creations out of plaster, paper mache and other mixed media! Construct a 3-D animal out of wire, plaster of paris, plastic, or other household items. Investigate flexible, rigid, unusual and strange materials and let your imagination run wild while. Learn about pop and modern art to explore a variety of styles through printmaking. Become a printmaker by exploring a variety of techniques using silk screen, relief, and mono printing. Make cards and express your ideas in multiples! Join the fun and make an invitation for the student exhibit on the last day of class. Course content and curriculum is updated each semester so students can continue their artistic progression.
