Description
Know how to ride your bike but feel uneasy about longer off-road rides? We will build your confidence by showing you basic as well as worst-case bike malfunctions and how to repair them in the field. Other topics will include map reading; picking a quality trail from a guidebook; contents of both a basic and 'total failure' tool kit; first aid; and what to pack (besides tools) for longer rides. We'll also show you how to pack for greatest efficiency. We'll ride each meeting and learn in the field; please be comfortable with basic bike handling skills. Bring your bike, helmet, and water. James has been in the bike industry for more than nine years and has been riding in the Wasatch since 1985.
