Description
Ready for some fun and games after work? Improvisational acting is spontaneous, creative, and lots of laughs. Improvisation is theater made up on the spot, using your imagination. Discover how to act out scenes and theater games; learn the rules of improvisation; develop your own unique characters; and most important, emotionally invest in your work. In improv, you get to be the actor, writer, and audience all at the same time! This is an excellent class for anyone interested in trying improv for the first time, as well as for seasoned performers who want an intense work out in the fundamentals. Jesse 'Jesster' Parent began improvising in 1992, and is the creator of the slam-poetry inspired improvisational format, The Hook. Jesse tours internationally as the part of a two-man long-form team, JoKyR and Jesster, and performs locally with the off broadway Theatre's improv troupe, Laughing Stock.
