Description
Learn to grow old gracefully with easy, fluid Feldenkrais movements. These gentle movement sequences improve posture, coordination and create an overall sense of well-being. Chronic pain is reduced and often even eliminated as the student learns to move more easily and with awareness. Developed in Israel, the Feldenkrais Method is becoming known around the world as an effective way to improve the quality of one's life. The method was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais as a way to avoid surgery and regain his own ability to walk unassisted after a sports injury. It has been used by people from all walks of life as a way to ease pain and increase performance. Performers and athletes as well as people suffering from arthritis or chronic pain have experienced the benefits of improved physical functioning. Feldenkrais movements relieve muscular tension and increase flexibility, thereby improving physical comfort. In terms of physical ability, to participate in this class you need to be able to get up and down from a mat on the floor. Each student is encouraged to find her or his own pace and level of comfort.
