LLHU 345 - Comparative Religions: Islam and Mormonism

Gain a greater understanding of the Islamic religion as we examine the many similarities between Mormon and Islamic origins, history, scriptures, doctrines, beliefs, and practices. We will review statements by LDS leaders about Islam and observations by Islamic clerics about Mormonism, then consider scriptures in each religion that indicates the legitimacy of the other. We will also look at differences in beliefs and discuss the postulated reasons for and resolution of these differences.
