Description
Walk down the aisles of any garden center in spring, and you'll find yourself in the midst of a cornucopia of scent and color. The sign says 'perennials,' and you know which ones appeal to you, but what else do you know about them? The key is to know which are best suited for your individual garden and to select plant combinations that offer color and blooms from early spring until frost. We can help! Through slides and discussion, you will learn about a large, diverse group of perennials suited to your Utah garden. Then you can make smart plant selections this gardening season. Instructor Barney Barnett is the owner of Willard Bay Gardens, serves on the Perennial Plant Association board, and is an instructor at BYU Idaho.
