Description
Meets with NURS 6561. This course presents an introduction to the practice of international health care with an emphasis on health disparities in less economically developed countries. Epidemiology and principles of public health are presented. Health problems, health care systems, economics, politics, and culture for selected countries are discussed. The focus is on the critique of existing models of health care delivery and the development of effective models of delivery to address persistent health problems for the poor in economically less developed countries.
