Description
This three hour credit course is designed to provide the student with a didactic preparation in the concepts of neonatal physiology and pathophysiology. Synthesis of previous topics in human embryology provides the foundation for understanding specific neonatal physiologic and pathophysiological processes. Normal physiology and common pathophysiological diseases are presented to include the recommended comprehensive topics for national certification as a neonatal nurse practitioner.
