Description
One of the best ways to improve your writing is by opening it to the constructive feedback of others. Not only can readers assist with works in progress, they can motivate writers to contribute new material for evaluation. Additionally, critiquing the work of others provides valuable insights into your own skills. In this workshop, we will focus on the creation, development, and facilitation of a writing group. We'll cover writing group structures; responding to writing of all levels; common difficulties; and creating a community of writers to create, share, and assist in developing one another's work. Co-sponsored by the SLCC Community Writing Center. Jeremy is a writing assistant specialist and the volunteer coordinator for the SLCC Community Writing Center, which offers multiple on-going writing groups throughout Salt Lake.
