Description
In this second of two semesters students learn to troubleshoot common network problems using the layered model approach, interpret network diagrams, perform and verify initial switch configuration tasks, configure, verify and troubleshoot VLANs, manage IOS configuration files, identify the basic parameters to configure a wireless network and common implementation issues, describe the impact of applications on the network, configure DHCP and DNS on a router, manage ACLs in a network environment, configure a basic WAN serial connection and Frame Relay, configure and verify a PPP connection between routers, and troubleshoot WAN implementation issues. Prerequisite: CCNA Exploration Academy Network Fundamentals. This course, combined with Edtec 551, constitues a preparation program for the Cisco Certified Network Associate[tm] (CCNA) certification exam offered by Cisco Systems. Tuition includes course materials and a voucher to use for the certification exam one time. Admitted U of U students may take this course for credit.
