Description
Would you like to live a financially secure, comfortable life? If the answer is yes, the time to start investing is now. Money grows money, and investing wisely now can pay off hugely in the future. In this class, you'll learn about differing investment vehicles (stocks, bonds, funds, ETF's), see the pros and cons of using an advisor versus investing on your own, and see how investment management styles differ from company to company. We'll look comprehensively at stocks, including how to conduct and refine research on stocks, how to read the newspaper's financial pages, and how to determine from the figures whether a stock is over- or undervalued. We'll also discuss what portfolio diversification means for young investors as well as time-honored strategies, such as dollar cost averaging, that work for every age.
