Description
Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are relatively new investment vehicles that combine the advantages of a mutual fund (multiple holdings that minimize exposure in any one market) with the independence of individual stock ownership (owner buys and sells at will and controls capital gains). These funds have gained tremendous popularity in recent years, but, as with any investment, it's important to understand the fine print before you buy. In this class, we'll cover the mechanics and benefits of ETFs, if and how they fit in your specific portfolio, and how ETF funds vary in structure.
