Description
Business and professional ethics seeks to bridge the gap between individual or personal moral behavior and the challenges afforded by organized business activity, such as purchasing and supply management, in the marketplace. Topics include supplier relationships, gifts and gratuities, principle/agent relations, and the balance and power of influence. Upon completion, students will have a working knowledge of ethical decision making systems and their application to the business environment, appreciate the range of ethical dilemmas which purchasing and supply professionals face on a daily basis, and have an understanding of the approaches to encourage ethical behavior within organizations. This is an elective course for the Administration Certificate Program, Management Certificate Program and the Purchasing and Supply Certificate Program and is endorsed by NAPM UTAH.
