Description
Explore the UMFA's outstanding Las Artes de Mexico exhibit with an art historian. We will trace the history of Mexican art forms from their beginnings in the Valley of Mexico (3,000 BC) to the early 20th century by focusing on three motifs-the eagle, the jaguar, and the serpent-found in Mexican art and culture. The exhibit reflects Mexican culture from the early farming epoch to post-conquest Mexico. Co-sponsored by the UMFA.
