Description
Follow the cascade of wildflower blooms across Northern Utah in this class. Our first week will be spent in the classroom learning about plant taxonomy, common plant families found in Utah, and learning key identifying characteristics. The remaining weeks will be in the field starting in the foothills behind Red Butte Garden with summer's first blooms, and culminate our experience in the subalpine zone of Albion Basin in August. We'll focus on the plant families common to each area, enjoying the beauty of Utah's native flora as we learn. Please bring a notebook to record your findings. Co-sponsored by Red Butte Garden.
