EDU 5200 - Teacher Language Awareness

The content of this course focuses on the knowledge of language structure and its application to teaching. The course will focus on six sub-systems of language- phonetics, phonology, morphology, orthography, semantics, syntax and text structures. In each of these areas the domain of teacher knowledge will be specific, as well as the teacher skills needed in each of these areas.
