Description
Are you comfortable with available light photography and ready to dramatically improve your lighting options and range with strobes and hand-held meters? Working inside and out of the classroom, you will learn how to: use a hand-held light meter; make elegant, hi-key portraits using two strobes, white seamless, and a bounce card; create light flattering to everyone; make understated, low-key studio portraits using multiple strobes, a muslin background, and other props; use portable strobes to make perfectly lit portraits of families outdoors; and look critically at photographs and how they are lit. You will get the chance to push your camera and flash in new ways and to open your photos to constructive criticism. Students will be asked to email five photos to the instructor prior to the first meeting.
