Description
The objective of this course is to prepare you for internships and career jobs in your field of interest by connecting you with the resources available at the Business Career Management Center at the David Eccles School of Business. In the course, you will identify your core interests and strengths while developing personal career goals. You will learn how to dress professionally, network at important career events, develop a resume, manage your online presence and practice interviewing skills specific to the business world. This class will include real-life opportunities to learn about and network with potential employers, who will be invited as guest lecturers and panelists to talk about relevant topics taught in class. This class will meet once a week on campus and once a week in an online format. This class is seven weeks long, one hour and twenty minutes per in-class session. Students will be required to attend a minimum of three company information sessions outside of class. Students that successfully complete the course will be awarded 1.5 credits as well as access to the Executive Career Coaching Services offered by industry professionals at the Business Career Management Center. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 to enroll. This course will be graded as credit/no credit.
