Description
Nutritional needs change as you age: Older folks absorb nutrients less easily, enzyme production changes, and the need for protein and nutrient-dense food increases. In this class we will discuss the foundation of a healthy diet, the value of whole foods, and how to adjust your eating habits to optimize your health as you age. We'll look at nutrients' role in disease prevention, maintaining brain power and mental health, and in treating common age-related problems such as insomnia, fatigue, depression, diabetes, heart disease, and bone and joint issues. Supportive supplements will also be discussed.
