Description
Learning, eating, and tasting, all with an interesting group of people in a delightful setting, is a recipe for a great evening out! We'll review how the grape vine traveled from the foothills of Mt. Ararat to Western Europe and the first Greek outposts along the Mediterranean. Then we'll travel up the Rhone Valley to discover Viognier, the Red Rhone blends in Sourth Central France, and the Romans planting Riesling, Muscat, and Gewurztraminer in Alsace. These two Roman advances into Gaul were the basis of a profound legacy to the lore of wine. Wine tastings will be paired with food.
