Day sessions only, no camping required. Students must be capable to travel in variable snow conditions in steep terrain with backcountry skis/skins, snowboard/splitboard, or snowshoes. Class will focus on snowpack, analysis of stability, decision making, snowpack metamorphosis (change), terrain features, safe travel, human factors and rescue scenarios. This is Level II of a two part avalanche sequence. Level 2 certificate of completion is provided.
