Description
Explore a myriad of methods for imparting texture and design to the surface of silver, bronze, or copper clay jewelry you craft. Learn how to enhance these metals by stamping or carving the raw clay surface. Further embellish the fired pieces with patinas, enamels, epoxy paints, or other surface design techniques. Those experienced with metal clay will especially enjoy this class, yet novices are also welcomed. All basic tools needed for class work are available during sessions. Bronze, copper and silver metal clay, for use in class, will be available from the instructor. Typically a student will spend between $20 and $60 on metal clay. Your cost will depend on how much and what types of materials you choose for your work. Tool kits and related supplies for special needs or work outside of class will be made available from the instructor at additional cost.
