Description
This course is designed to prepare students to educate individuals and small groups on how to become mentally, physically, spiritually, and ecologically healthier. The resilience praxis helps individuals to identify personal gifts, strengths, and talents and use them to overcome weaknesses and adopt healthier leftstyles. The course will include a review of foundational evidence-based behavior change approaches and build upon them using principles of resilience and resiliency. The resilience praxis is based upon principles of applied positive health, positive psychology and the metatheory of resilience and resiliency. The experiential and service learning portion of the class will allow students to do resilience guiding in the community.
