YELAN 601 - Far Off Lands and Foreign Languages (Age 7-10)

The best time to learn a second language is when you're young, and this workshop will introduce you to a cultural and lingual experience of the French language. Each day will begin with new vocabulary words, phrases, and an immersive activity. Afterwards, you will learn about society and culture in different French speaking countries. From Switzerland to Morocco, explore dance, instruments, music, food, art, games, and much more! Bridge the summer learning gap between school sessions and keeps those new foreign language skills fresh in a fun-filled way. This workshop is designed to introduce language and culture to new speakers and also support continued early childhood second language development.
