LLLAN 366 - Spanish for Medical Professionals

As the Hispanic population continues to grow in the US, so does the need for health care workers who speak Spanish. This class is designed to improve Spanish language skills in order to communicate with patients, gain their confidence, help them recover, and to provide the patient and his/her family with health advice. We will be role-playing real-life medical situations and learn valuable vocabulary and phrases. This class is oriented toward beginning and novice speakers, and is designed to be repeated as often as you wish. Special fee is for textbook; please expect two hours of homework per week.
