Description
Systematic review and meta-analysis are useful for health technology assessment, evidence-based clinical practice, and health policy. the course provides students with a thorough understanding of the systematic review process, knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of the method, and step-by-step guidance on how to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis. Topics include: formulating the research question, study designs, systematically searching literature, biases in clinical trials and observational study designs, assessing study quality, understanding estimates of effect, data extraction, meta-analytic methods, reporting bias, and assessing heterogeneity and reporting bias. Stata statistical software will be used to perform meta-analysis.
