Physicochemical approach to stability and performance of pharmaceutical dosage forms. Mathematics, thermodynamics, coligative properties, solubility, chemical equilibrium and kinetics. Emphasis on interfacial phenomena as applied to pharmaceutical dosage forms including suspensions, emulsions, creams, ointments, and advanced delivery systems.
