Description
Walt Disney knew the power of storyboarding to unleash his team's ability to dream big and act boldly. This hands-on workshop is a toolkit for leaders, entrepreneurs, project teams and innovators who want to use powerful visual roadmaps to spark engagement, tap group wisdom, and invent the future. We'll start with quick tips for jotting and sketching ideas, and create mind maps and visual templates you can apply to your own projects, ranging from career maps to strategic visioning. You'll come away with a portfolio of visual leadership skills & templates you can use immediately to map your own professional development or a larger scale business project. Topics will include: 1) Why smart leaders go 'visual'; 2) Fundamentals - Mind maps, Metaphors, & Graphic Templates; 3) Quick techniques for everyday projects - brainstorming, writing, journaling, project mapping; 4) Strategic visioning & mapping for change; and 5) Improvising, innovating & 'Pictionary on steroids'. We'll look ahead to advanced applications like the Business Model Canvas, Network Mapping, and where you'd like to apply your visual leadership skills at home and work, for innovation, exploration, and renewal. We'll draw on the best practices of well-known graphic facilitators, including David Sibbet, author of Visual Leadership: New Tools for Visioning, Management, & Organization Change.
