ENGL 2331 - Children's Literature and Community Service

Explores children's literature and the art of reading to children. The course will have a significant service-learning component. In addition to analyzing literature in the classroom, students will have the opportunity to read to children in underserved elementary schools in our community. The reading relationships that develop through this community engagement will, in turn, be kind of text addressed in class.
