Description
There is a long history of moviemaking in Utah. We will concentrate on the major landmark films including director John Ford's Westerns (such as "Stagecoach", "The Searchers", "Wagon Master", "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon", and "Fort Apache") and George Steven's "The Greatest Story Ever Told". We will view classics such as "Planet of the Apes", "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", "Thelma and Louise", and the works of Richard Dutcher and other local filmmakers. There will be a class screening of Disney's only True Life Fantasy, "Perri". There will be plenty of excerpts screened in class. DVDs of many features shot in Utah will be available for class members to check out.
