Description
Utah offers an incredible array of woodland, mountain, and desert activities. Which locations are best for low-impact pursuits, easy to access, and appropriate for varying seasons, ecological zones, and ability levels? What are the risks and how can they be mitigated and managed? Where can you find people with similar interests to join you on your adventures and where can you get needed equipment? You can enjoy the great outdoors even if you are a cautious novice. Topics include planning, social aspects, managing hazards, trail and waterway locations, the history and future of outdoor recreation, and building relevant skills. Day trips will be our main focus, though resources for more advanced or far-flung adventures may be covered.
