Description
This is a core program course for the CoN PhD program. This course is the first in a two-art sequence that teaches qualitative inquiry as the integration of conceptual, theoretical and methodological principles and assumptions into a coherent framework for research, and the application of these, via specific research methods, to the process of qualitative data production and analysis. In the first semester, students will be introduced to the principles and practice of qualitative research. They will identify a project, collaboratively construct a proposal, and submit an IRB application to support conduct of research in the second semester.
