Description
The third in a series, this course supports nurse midwifery students' progress towards the role of the safe entry-level professional practitioner. Students will continue to integrate the philosophy and role of the nurse midwife, apply foundational and advanced knowledge and use of clinical skills in the ambulatory and intrapartum settings with an emphasis on intrapartum complications. Students will continue to refine their expertise in assessment, diagnosis , and development and implementation of a plan of care for women across the lifespan. They work under the supervision of faculty preceptors. This is a Credit/No Credit course.
