Description
This laboratory course provides hands-on development analysis using both animal (C. elegans) and plant (Arabidopsis) model systems. Students will carry out experiments including gene mapping, and microscopy, and gene expression to examine development of the animal nervous system. plant roots, and developmental responses to the environment (e.g. gravity and light). Discussion will help students to relate the outcomes of their experiments to fundamental developmental biology principles.
