Enrollment Information
Enrollment Requirement:
Prerequisites: "C-" or better in (NUCL 3000 AND NUCL 3100).
Description
Students will have nuclear reactor and radiation hands-on experience to help them learn nuclear engineering and science applications. The set of three laboratory experiments will emphasize the understanding of the vast use of neutron activation analysis, meaning of thermal neutron flux in a reactor and the techniques that are used to determine the profile of thermal flux, and the calculation of gamma doses.
