Description
This course examines factors that contribute to innovation and breakthroughs in science. Emphasis is placed on the contribution of creativity, inventive processes, serendipity and collaboration in discovery and development of an innovative researchable idea. Students will explore strategies, habits and practices that foster science innovation and insight. In addition, obstacles to science innovation and the implications for navigating a successfully and significant research career are addressed.
