Description
Wallace Stegner (1909-1993) made his mark as one of the most important American writers of the twentieth century. He published distinguished fiction, biography, and history, and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. At Stanford University, Stegner mentored such significant writers as Larry McMurtry, Ken Kesey, Robert Stone, Wendell Berry, Tillie Olson, Nancy Packard, and Edward Abbey. A reading and study of four books by Stegner will show the student why Stegner was indeed a man for all seasons.
