Description
How did the wine grape proliferate around the world? We'll study European and New World wine growing regions, make comparisons, and learn more about wine as a commodity throughout the modern world. We'll sample specific varietals and wines from specific countries and try to understand why some places have been so successful in the wine trade, with California and Australia as prime examples. As a bonus, all tastings will be accompanied by small plates of appropriate foods.
