Description
After the completion of this course, the student should be able to describe how the following terms pertain to the pharmacotherapy outcomes movement. Outcomes research: the scientific design, data collection and analysis of the end results of therapy. Outcomes management: a systematic approach to measure and analyze patient outcomes with the goal of improving the effectiveness and quality of care for a specific patient population. Outcomes measurement: quantitative results of individual patient treatment as part of routine clinical practice in order to assess indicators of care.
