Prerequisites: "C-" or better in DANC 3261 OR Department Consent.
Description
This course is designed for modern dance and ballet majors to understand and communicate production elements of dance performance. The course covers the theory of lighting, hands-on preparation of the stage, practical projects in lighting, introduction to stage management, criticism of lighting design and production elements as they apply to dance performance, and a practicum in lighting a specific dance work within the semester.
