Description
Meets with ECS 6634. A critical examination of the foundations of dual language immersion education and language issues in schools and communities, including federal, state, and local laws and policies, research on dual language learning and teaching, history of dual language immersion education contextualized within the history of language education in the U.S., Utah's dual language immersion model, and an overview of dual language immersion instructional practices. Students enrolled in 6634 will be expected to meet a higher standard of performance and may be assigned additional work.
