Description
This hybrid course is designed to provide the fundamentals of cancer genetics and hereditary cancer syndromes. Topics include molecular carcinogenesis, cancer screening, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, and an in depth survey of cancer genetic syndromes. Students will be expected to review lectures and complete assessments online in addition to applying learned skills to practice cases in class. Core and guest lectures will be supplemented with interactive discussions and student presentations. This course aims to provide a basis for improving critical thinking skills for cancer risk assessment.
