Description
Psychiatric/Mental Health Practicum I is the first of a series of four clinical practicum course. This practicum builds on foundational ideas related to mental health and illness presented in NURS 6300, Foundations of Psychiatric Nursing. Emphasis is placed upon mental health assessment, diagnoses, and case formulation for individual clients under faculty and agency supervision in variety of clinical settings. beginning group skills are also incorporated. Seminars provide opportunity for students to critique clinical experience, practice skills, and participate in on-going consultation.
